San Antonio’s Outdoor Public Swimming Pools
Beat the Heat and stay active, fit and cool this summer while having fun at any of San Antonio’s 24 outdoor swimming pools. The Summer Pool Season starts June 16, and lasts until August 19. The regular pool hours are from 1 pm to 7 pm, but all serious swim enthusiasts can still enjoy lap swimming at San Antonio’s four regional pools(Woodlawn, Heritage, LBJ and South Side Lions) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30 to 9:30 A.M. Admission is FREE. 
Lincoln Swimming Pool, 2803 E. Commerce, is now open, along with South Side Lions Pool, Heritage, and Lady Bird Johnson Park Pool. Open swim is available from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 1 - 7 p.m. on Saturdays. Nineteen of the pools will be open from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Five pools, including Fairchild, Kennedy, Spring Time, Sunset Hills and San Pedro, will be open 2 to 8 p.m. San Pedro pool will offer senior swim from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. .
Aug. 21 through Sept. 3, enjoy an extended swim season with open swim and lap swimming offered at four pools: Heritage, Lady Bird Johnson, South Side Lions, and Woodlawn, 1100 Cincinnati. Lap Swimming is offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Open Swim is offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. Admission is Free. Call 207-3299. Note: Pools will be open on the Labor Day Holiday, Monday, Sept. 3, from 1 to 7 p.m. for open swim.
