Texans To Save Money on Property Taxes

Yes, This is something to get excited about for all Texans, who own property in Texas. Look for Proposition 1 on the November 3 ballot, and vote YES. Proposition 1 on the upcoming elections offers an opportunity for Texans to save money and get some relief now and in the future. The language may not be very clear to the average voter, but Proposition 1 will benefit all Texans. How you ask? Cjut Property Taxes

  • It gives immediate property tax relief to all homeowners
  • It expands property tax relief for seniors and disabled Texans
  • It Constitutionally bans a sales tax on real estate transactions

Proposition 1 will increase the Homestead Exemption from $15,000 to $25,000, and permanently ban real estate transfer taxes in Texas. Yes, that's a nice savings for all Texans. Yes, the November 3 ballot will lower your property taxes now, and ensure your home sale isn't taxed later.
